Aldi aanbiedingen

Aldi becomes the most up-to-date supermarket inside United Kingdom to withdraw beef items that contained between 30% to 100% horsemeat. The UK Food Standards Agency will come across with the environment secretary Saturday to debate the horsemeat scandal.
Aldi can be another top 25 U.S. food retailer with more than 1,100 stores in 31 states serving 20 million customers every month. The first Aldi store was opened inside the District of Columbia in November 2011 from the efforts of former Ward 5 Councilmember Harry Thomas, Jr. and Ward 6 Councilmember Tommy Wells. Its sister company, Trader Joe's, is continuing to grow very popular through the Washington Metropolitan region.
No comments are actually made by Aldi representatives as to how the overseas horsemeat scandal affects its stores in the United States. However, on Aug. 2, 2013, Aldi announced it voluntarily recalled approximately 3,200 pounds of ground beef in cooperation with National Beef Packing Company.
Owen Patterson, UK environment secretary, said, 'We think that the two particular cases in the frozen burgers from Tesco as well as the lasagna from Findus are associated with suppliers in Ireland and France respectively. We and the Food Standards Agency are working closely using the authorities over these countries, along with with Europol to go to the root with the problem.'
The companies are blaming their suppliers.
"This is entirely unacceptable and like other affected companies, we presume angry and disappointed by our supplier. If the label says beef, our customers expect so that it is beef. Suppliers are absolutely clear that they're required to meet our stringent specifications therefore we do not tolerate any failure to do so," an Aldi spokesman released in a very statement. Its French supplier Comigel distributed frozen beef lasagna and frozen spaghetti Bolognese. Aldi had already pulled beef products a few months ago due to the onset in the UK horsemeat scandal.
Aldi first launched its American store in 1976 in Iowa. According to its website, the shop serves "20 million customers monthly. Expansion includes opening average of two new stores a week. Internationally, Aldi has 5,000 stores.'
Another store owned by Aldi is Trader Joe's'a store that has been increasingly popular in several metropolitan regions. Aldi's has typically placed its store in suburban, rural, and/or low-income regions in the United States. Both stores offer signature grocery food and general merchandise at minimal prices.
